For many small parts, injection molding using liquid silicone rubber (LSR) is the most economic production technique because it offers the benefits of rapid cycle times and minimal material waste.

Lexington's LSR molding operation in North Canton, Ohio, utilizes Engel injection molding presses in sizes ranging from 60 tons to 200 tons.

LSR or HCR

We believe that it is important to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of both LSR and high-consistency rubber (HCR) before deciding which material to use. Suppliers that are not capable of providing a customer with both LSR and HCR components may direct customers away from the optimal choice.
